'tis the season to be jolly
The holiday season of historic Merry-etta is one you won't want to miss. From our gorgeous brick streets decorated with snow to the sounds of a horse-drawn carriage in the distance and our buildings strung up with lights, downtown Marietta is the #1 place for shopping & dining.
Our Merry-etta Christmas Parade has come and gone and WOW! Thank you to everyone who hosted a float, who came out to enjoy the Parade, who sponsored the Parade, to WMOA, to the City of Marietta, and to our downtown businesses. With nearly 70 floats and thousands of spectators on the sidewalks, it's going to be hard to top this year's Parade next year but we are going to try!
First Friday in December is extra-special just in time for holiday shopping. Downtown shops stay open until 11 p.m. and offer big promotions, some as much as 50% off each purchase! Mark your calendars, grab your holiday list, and head downtown for this once-a-year special event!
