Cristie L. Thomas, Interim Executive Director
Cristie Thomas is the Interim Executive Director of Marietta Main Street and as such, oversees all of Main Street's internal and external operations including events, marketing, programming, fundraising, strategic planning, and community outreach.
Thomas was the Executive Director for Marietta Main Street from January 2016 to September 2018. In her time as Director, Marietta Main Street launched new programs, executed marketing strategies that resulted in a 33% increase in revenue, and built strong community partnerships. Thomas’ accomplishments were recognized statewide when she was awarded Main Street Director of the Year by Heritage Ohio in 2017.
Cristie is from Long Island, NY. She earned her B.A. from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA and her M.A. from SIT Graduate Institute in Brattleboro, VT. With a background in organizational management, marketing & communications, and civic engagement, Cristie strives to help local businesses and nonprofits increase their capacity to better serve their mission and their communities. Cristie has spoken at local and regional levels about social media marketing, communications, conflict resolution, small business development, and organizational management.
She currently resides in Marietta with her husband Brad, the Youth & Children’s Director at FPC Marietta, and her two sons Levon and Avett, aged 5 and 4.
