Shop and eat downtown for our Summer Shop Hop. Shops will have sales and specials while celebrating the Summer season. Look for the balloons in front of participating shops. Each entry at those locations enters you in a drawing to win a prize basket with goodies from all participating shops.

Join Marietta Main Street and the Parkersburg Art Center for our first MOV Artist Studio Tour! The Studio Tour is a self-guided tour of local artists' studios in Washington County, Ohio and Wood County, West Virginia. Local artists will have their studios open to ticketholders on Saturday, June 13th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The tour includes at least six stops and features over ten artists, with two stops hosting guest artists in their space. Tickets are $25 per person. Each ticket holder will receive a map with the locations and a wrist band for access.

Stroll through historic downtown Marietta as you visit local restaurants and retail shops, savoring delightful wine and chocolate along the way.

Upon check-in, you’ll receive a wristband, a tasting glass, and a map to guide you through 10 wine and 10 chocolate stops. Take your time exploring downtown’s unique shops and restaurants as you sip, savor, and shop!

Important: Materials are only available during check-in hours and will not be held for late pickup. Unclaimed materials after 3:00 PM will be forfeited. Must be 21+ to participate.

A Marietta favorite, the Glenwood Community Marietta Ice Festival brings thousands of locals and visitors downtown to enjoy 19 stunning ice sculptures displayed throughout our historic commercial district. In addition to the pre-set sculptures, festival highlights include a live ice carving demonstration, open shops and restaurants, and more winter fun.

Pre-set sculptures will be in place around town at noon, with the live carving taking place on the Armory lawn at 1:30pm.

Santa Houses are pop-up, free experiences located in the Gazebo of East Muskingum Park that invites local families to visit with Santa Claus. Folks are invited to snap photos of their children, pets, friends, and family all free of charge. Visitors to the Santa House enjoy hot cocoa and cookies provided by area nonprofits, plus the beautiful views of our Holiday Tree Walk!

Inside the Gazebo, Santa Claus will be sitting in his chair ready to have his photo taken with residents from across the MOV totally free of charge. Grab your friends and family members, your kiddos and your doggos, and come snap a picture with Santa!
Those wanting photos are responsible for taking them on their own, meaning a camera or mobile phone with camera capabilities will need to be used. Volunteers will be on hand to help take group photos as requested!

Hot cocoa and cookies will be distributed and, while photos with Santa are completely free, donations are encouraged for Marietta Main Street.

Visitors to the Santa House enjoy hot cocoa and cookies provided by area nonprofits, plus the beautiful views of our Holiday Tree Walk!

Our annual evening holiday parade will include floats, dance routines, carolers, and much more, all complete with festive Christmas lights. As usual, Santa Claus will make his appearance in the parade at the very end!

The 2025 Merry-etta Christmas Parade theme is “Hometown Holidays” and we invite area nonprofits, businesses, civic groups, interest groups and more to participate in this evening, lighted parade that draws thousands of locals into the streets of historic, charming Marietta.

Join Marietta Main Street and Mayor Josh Schlicher as we light the City of Merry-etta’s Christmas Tree on the lawn of the Armory, officially welcoming the holiday season to beautiful, historic Marietta.

The City's Christmas Tree was first installed downtown in 2018 and it lit up the entire block. With thousands of lights, the vibrancy of our Christmas Tree nearly matches the vibrancy of downtown during the holiday season.
