First Friday: October Round Up

First Fridays in downtown Marietta, OH are monthly snippets of the best our community has to offer. Our downtown shops are open late, our restaurants feature diverse menus, local musicians and artists are highlighted, and monthly themes offer a variety of unique, fun experiences for our whole community to enjoy.

October's First Friday is Fall Fest, featuring a Fall Festival on the lawn of the Armory with lots of games, pop-up tents, and fun activities.

  • A Fall Festival will be at the Armory courtesy of First Friday sponsor WVU-P. Come on out with the kiddos for lots of games, activities, and fun!

  • The Busy Bee Restaurant is hosting their 75th Anniversary from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. with special activities and a buffet free of charge to show gratitude to all their supporters over the years.

  • Wit & Whimzy will be hosting the Marietta H.S. Key Club, so stop by with your kiddos and say hello! Check out the Clearance Table, and the first 10 purchases over $20 get a bag of goodies!

  • Join Dad’s Primitive Workbench as they welcome Winnie, Mary and Sarah back for a night of fun from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. meeting and greeting and taking photos with you. Be prepared with your cameras ready as the line will move fast! Come dressed to impress and be ready to have a great night. They will also have Hocus Pocus merchandise ready to be purchased as well!

  • Bill Engvall is a Grammy nominated, multi-platinum selling recording artist and one of the top comedians in the country. He will host two performances at Peoples Bank Theatre on First Friday; one at 7 p.m. and one at 9:15 p.m..

  • Join Riverside Artists Gallery in welcoming it's October featured artist, Michelle Waters, during Michelle Waters: Power Lines Opening. Combining a fine art background and the heart of a storyteller, Michelle has a strong desire to love people as they are, and enjoys making honest, artfully composed images that feel fresh, personal and full of energy.

  • The Lafayette Hotel’s Gun Room is hosting live music: Classic Rock, 70's and 80's Hits and Originals. Swing by from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to support local music.

  • During October's First Friday, the Marietta Wine Cellars welcome the Three Man Acoustic Band from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.! The Three Man Acoustic Band hails from Columbus and has performed throughout Ohio. Three men, with two guitars, a digital piano, bass guitar, and soft percussion (Congas) will perform classic rock standards and entertain you with great vocal harmonies.

  • Join the BB2C Makerspace for their fall open house. Much has changed at the Makerspace since the last open house in April! Meet Makerspace Staff from all six spaces: Fiber Arts, Stained Glass, Woodshop, Laser Space, Tech Space & Creative Arts. They will be running demonstrations and working with youth to make and decorate a face mask for Halloween. This will also serve as their kick-off to "Halloween Costume Saturdays" in October!

  • The Adelphia Music Hall Presents: William Matheny with Joshua Lee at 9 p.m.. Doors open at 7:00 PM. Music starts at 9:00 PM. Some seating will be available, but no reservations will be taken — first come first served!
