First Fridays in downtown Marietta, OH are monthly snippets of the best our community has to offer. Our downtown shops are open late, our restaurants feature diverse menus, local musicians and artists are highlighted, and monthly themes offer a variety of unique, fun experiences for our whole community to enjoy.

July’s First Friday is Fine Art Walk, sponsored by Perry & Associates CPAs, A.C. & Commonwealth Financial Services LLC, featuring fine art and performance art all throughout downtown!

  • A Secret history of american river people exhibit will be at the marietta harbor

  • Riverside Artists Gallery is hosting the Marietta Calligraphy Society

  • The N’Oasis is offering a free bounce house for kids and will have vendors setup selling various items in front of the shop

  • Dad’s Primitive Workbench is hosting Wunderlich Photography

  • Modest Peacock is hosting a complimentary braid workshop at 6:30 p.m. for summer hair and offering relaxing, 5 minute massages by James E. Howard, LMT of Achieve Balance Massage Therapy

  • Sy’s Place is hosting Comfort Clips Mobile Pet Grooming, who will be parked outside of the shop. Comfort Clips is offering walk-in nail trims. All fees collected for trims will be donated to the Humane Society.

  • Teri Ann’s is hosting pottery artists Jan Montgomery.

  • JustAJar is hosting live music with Oyo

  • Wit & Whimzy and Gold Line Jewelers are hosting Connie Guinn on the mandolin

  • Hive Alive will be open with fine art on display and for sale by Joe Lombardo, Julianne Kerns, Keri Dodds, Diane Eyerman, Cynthia Davis, Todd Morrow and other regionally known artists. A surprise musical guests will be featured.

  • The Historic Lafayette Hotel is hosting the Red, White & Blues Fest coordinated by The Blues, Jazz, and Folk Music Society of the Mid Ohio Valley

  • The pioneer summer theatre is showing Bye Bye Birdie presented by Marietta College at the Peoples Bank Theatre

  • Wit & Whimzy is offering the amazing wood carvings of the late C. Wolfe, long time Marietta resident and wood carver. Mr. Wolfe had an excellent eye for detail and his meticulous work is intricate and realistic. These pieces are one-of-a-kind and Wit & Whimzy is offering them on behalf of Mrs. Wolfe.

  • Marietta Wine Cellars is hosting Wine Down with Nate Jones

  • Boathouse BBQ is hosting Matt Petty and The Whiskey Chasers

  • Schafer Leather Store is hosting Fred Boston of Yankee Metal Bender
