Design Committee Meeting

  • Marietta Main Street

This committee works to help downtown Marietta look its best. Focusing on the beautiful historic buildings is just part of it. We must create an inviting atmosphere through attractive window displays, adequate parking areas, building improvements, street furniture, signs, sidewalks, street lights, and landscaping. All of these elements convey a positive message of Downtown Marietta and what it has to offer. Design goals also include encouraging good maintenance practices to the building owners, encouraging appropriate new construction, developing historic design guidelines, and long-term planning. The Design Committee meets on every 4th Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at Marietta Main Street.

Cash Mob Monday

  • Gateway Park

Show your support for local downtown businesses by coming out for Cash Mob Mondays! Each month, at least one business will be selected as our destination. Once inside, participants must commit to spending at least $10 inside the store. What makes it so fun? Not only do you get to pal around downtown with your friends and neighbors, but you won't know the location of the Cash Mob until you show up for the event!

All Cash Mob Monday participants will meet as a group at Gateway Park by the Plumbers and Pipefitters building at the corner of Butler and Front Street in Downtown Marietta. Clues will be read and you will try to guess the destination. Once all the clues are read, participants will walk to the destination and make a shop's day a little bit brighter!

At the end of the sale, participants have the option to meet up for an After Mob at a local restaurant/eatery offering special discounts for Cash Mobbers and vote for what store they would like to Mob next time. Bring your friends and prepare to have a little fun shopping downtown!
